for everyone
Congratulations to Quezon City Performing Arts Foundation and St Louis University for bagging the championships in the children's choir and open categories through clear wins last night. With a stellar roster of judges that included Jonathan Velasco, Fidel Calalang Jr, Jai Sabas-Aracama, Ed Manguiat, and Baste Trinidad, QCPA topped Koro del Pilar of Malolos at average scores of 92-87.20, with Coro Angelitos taking third, and Commonwealth Elementary School settling for fourth place.  In the Open derby, Baguio-based SLU took sweet revenge over University of the Visayas with a unanimous win that gave them a clear 1.8-point margin over the Cebuanos despite a 3-point deduction on their 6-minute overtime.  UV, in turn, edged out their sister group Koro Ilustrado by a mere point, with St Scholastica's College High School Glee Club beating the odds by coming in fourth over-all, way ahead of seasoned veterans University of San Agustin Troubadours, Ateneo de Davao, Ramon Magsaysay-Manila Youth Choir, and the FEU Chorale.
